The Braves were a ticking time bomb ready to go off. After being shutout 4 out of 5 games, and only scoring 1 run in 5 games, you knew they were going to explode. They have as they have scored 12 runs in their second straight game. Tonight marks the Braves 4th straight win after a horrid 5 game losing streak. The June Swoon has not hit the Braves as hard as last year, or the Mets of this year. Their record in June so far is: 12 – 15. A losing record, but better than last year. The Mets are 11-15 this June. The Braves this June have only gained a half game against the Mets. With the Mets beating the Phillies twice today, the Braves jump into 2nd place. With all this offense, a trade in the making seems likely to happen, for the Braves need pitching. The Braves are not the only ones in the trade market for pitching though. The Mets, RedSox, and Astros are all in the hunt as well. The Braves most attractive trade chip is Jarrod Saltalamacchia, while it looks like that won’t happen, Yunel Escobar seems more likely to be traded.
Final Score: Braves: 12, Marlins: 3
Win: Chuck James: (7-7)
Loss: Josh Johnson: (0-3)

hey man, it looks like you’re not getting much traffic yet, but i am definitely checking your site once or twice everyday now. there aren’t many quality braves blogs on the internet, and this one seems to get updated a lot with useful information. don’t let that number up there discourage you, people will eventually come.

I appreciate Matthew. I will be leaving out of town for 5 days tommorrow, but the scoreboard and hopefully the lineups will still work on the sidebars. No matter how much traffic I get, I want to keep this up, I know a blog doesn’t immediately get traffic. I love the Braves, and want to continue this blog.
