Dayn Perry has a new article up. The Top Ten Names to Watch for at the Deadline. He says the Braves could be after Matt Morris, Eric Gagne, Chad Cordero, Octavio Dotel, the three WhiteSox pitchers (Contreras, Garland, and Vasquez). Big problem with that article though. According to MLBTR, Texas GM Jon Daniels thinks he can get Schuerholz to give up Jarrod Saltalamacchia and a pitching prospect for Mark Teixeira. If that’s all he wants, do it. Then sign Tex to a 6yr/$120M contract extension.

And out of nowhere, the Boston RedSox are now the frontrunners for the Tex trade. The Rangers scouted the Major League Prospects of the RedSox, and liked what they saw, so now the BoSox are the front runners, unfortuneately. This is according to MLBTR.
