The Braves beat the Marlins in a blowout tonight. The final score was Braves: 13, Marlins: 2. McCann hit a grand slam, 2nd on the road trip, and Cormier pitched well as he gave the Braves 7 solid innings to get the win. Very promising for the Braves. Hope he can keep it up. Mahay and Villareal finished it up as the Braves won tonight by a big run game.
After the game, the Braves sent Joey Devine back down to the minors, and called up Pete Orr.
The next game, Smoltz will pitch against Rick Vanden Hurk. Game Time will be at 7:05 on Sports South. The Mets lost as well today, so the Braves pick up a game on them.
