Tough loss. The Offense was all juiced out. They had scored a lot of runs the previous games and it was obvious they were tired. There was some bad news as on the first pitch Edgar Renteria swong at, he looked like he tweaked his ankle again. “He’ll be re evalutated again tomorrow” Bobby Cox [...]

UPDATE: Chuck James has been placed on the DL because of tightness in his shoulder. I would expect to see Mr. Schuerholz get busy on the phones for guys like Odalis Perez, Josh Fogg, and Josh Towers. I would trade for all of them if I had the chance, they won’t cost you much [...]

The Braves were hitting the ball hard today. McCann hit a grand slam in the first and Tex hit two homers and drove in 6 runs. Tim Hudson pitched well also. 6 innings, 4 strikeouts, and he gave up 3 runs. He left after the 6th to give way to Ron Mahay and he pitched [...]

Yet another loss. The Braves started off well. Chipper hit a homer in first, but failed to score another run until the 7th. Buddy Carlyle did poor. He gave up 8 runs on 10 hits and was pulled in the 6th. The Braves biggest battle tonight was the pitcher. Not pitching, but hitting as well. [...]

Edgar Renteria has been out for 15 days now with a sprained ankle. He was expected back today, but may have to be extended some pain in the sprained ankle. “I feel good, much better than it has been, but they know more than me”, Edgar said. Rotoworld and The Braves Official Website have reported [...]

The Braves pitching was decent tonight. The offense was really quiet. Brandon Webb silenced the Braves big bats to only 2 hits through 9 innings and no runs for his third straight shutout. He has now pitched 41 straight scoreless innings. Lance Cormier was better than normal. He went 8 innings and only gave up [...]

The Braves failed to finish off the Giants after winning the first two. No biggie. We won the series, and as Bobby Cox says, that’s the most important thing in a season. Chuck James was the heart breaker in this one. He gave up 4 homers and and the Giants went on ahead to beat [...]
