Well, John Smoltz proved to be ineffective, and the Braves were eliminated from playoff contention as Philadelphia beat them 6-4. Chipper Jones hit a two run homer, and Tex homered to. That was all the runs the Braves could get. Jeff Francoeur also homered in the 9th. Matt Diaz got on first, stole second, and was stranded to end the game.
The New York Mets lost to the St. Louis Cardinals 3-0!
We have 3 games left to play vs the Astros. I’ll still report on them, but they won’t mean much since we aren’t playing for anything, not even spoiler, as the Astros aren’t in contention either.
I was going to save this for the last game of the year, but I think I’ll go ahead and post it now. This is a great YouTube video, which was supposed to describe this season, but will definately describe next year.
