Tonight, the Braves’ season is officially on the line. The loss last night brought our elimination number to 1, which means that one more loss will mathematically eliminate us from post-season eligibility. Until this team is officially out, I won’t give my final statements on the season, so [...]

FINAL SCORE: Braves 2, Phils 5
This likely means the Braves fall out of the race now. This is might be the last game Tim Hudson pitches this year, or he might pitch one of the very last games. He didn’t fair well Wednesday vs the Phils. Tim Hudson pitched 6 innings, and gave up [...]

Huge win last night to kick off this critical series, and the Braves look to continue that success tonight against a weak starter (is there any other kind on Philadelphia?) in Kyle Lohse.
At the time of writing, SD is losing 4-0 in the sixth inning so if they lose, [...]

Baseball America listed their top 20 players from the Appalachian League this year. The Braves had 6 players to make the list. Neftali Feliz also made the list but he was traded to the Texas Rangers. The Braves lost to the Elizabethton twins in the Championship this year. The Braves also had the top two [...]

The Braves starting pitching this year has been their downfall, especially from bottom the rotation guys like Carlyle, Cormier, and Redman. The Braves have one of the best 1 and 2 starters in baseball in Smoltz and Hudson. But they can’t pitch everyday for the Braves. They also have two very good but young starting [...]

Alright, everyone…here we go. Last week of the season. Once again the Phillies are in the hunt for the playoff race but will probably choke down the stretch. It seems like they were close to Atlanta every year of the streak, but they haven’t actually made the playoffs [...]

Lillibridge was elected to the futures [...]
