According to Rotoworld, The Braves have claimed Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim pitcher Chris Resop. To make room, the Braves designated Chad Paronto for assignment. A little more background on Resop (Rotoworld):
Resop was the pitcher the Angels received from the Marlins for Kevin Gregg a year ago. He spent only 10 days in the Angel pen in July, and he underwent surgery in August to shave a bone spur in his elbow. He’ll be a long shot to win a bullpen spot coming out of spring training.
Well, I wasn’t a huge fan of Chad Paronto, but I did think he had good stuff. He was sorta like Kevin Gryboski. A groundball pitcher, who would get the other team’s batters to ground into double plays. Paronto had a good sinker. But let’s see what Paronto can do. Problem with Paronto, he walked more people than he struckout.
