Glavine is Coming back to the Ted!

According to the AJC, the Braves and Glavine reached a one-year $8 million dollar deal late Sunday night. Glavine really wanted to finish his career with the Braves. That was one reason why he opted to take a pay cut instead of staying with the Mets for $13 million. Glavine should be a quality #3 or #4 starter for the Braves next season. If he can match what he did last year that would be great. Glavine had 23 quality starts last season. That would be a huge help for the Braves talented bullpen next season. Being reunited with one of his best pals Smoltz should also help him out. I wouldn’t be totally surprised if Glavine does better next year than what he did this year. With Smoltz, Hudson, Glavine, Jurrjens, Hampton, James, Reyes, and Bennett, the Braves have one of the deepest rotations in the National League. There will be a news conference announcing the deal at noon Monday, at Turner Field.
