A very active GM, Frank Wren, has been making moves left and right since he became the Braves GM in October. All his moves have been good and pretty fair thus far. This one is no different. Utility man Pete Orr has been designated for assignment. Nothing big there. I think we all knew it was coming.
- Bobby Cox was impressed after watching Charlie Morton throw last week in Arizona. He’s now part of the 40 man roster.
- Jairo Cuevas is no different. As you see, D’Andre has him in the top 20 on the prospects list. He’s been promoted as well.
- Last but not least, Zach Schreiber has been placed on the 40 man roster.
It’s a good thing these pitchers were placed on the 40 man roster, otherwise, any team could have claimed them in the rule 5 draft, and I’m sure there would have been a lot of claims on these pitchers.
