Well, the Braves didn’t the Nationals, again. It seems hard for the Braves to beat the Nationals, for some reason. Just seems like they always have some kind of problem. However, there was some really good news in this game, as 3 guys returned from injuries and owies. Yunel Escobar, Chipper Jones, and Tom Glavine all returned. However, as said in the last post, Smoltz has been placed on the DL.
Chipper returned with a bang, knocking out a solo shot in the 6th inning off of Tim Redding. Mark Kotsay and Kelly Johnson scored the other runs. Escobar, on the other hand, had 4 at bats, and didn’t get a single hit. However, he did walk, if that’s anything to be proud of.
Tom Glavine had a decent game, going 6 innings and giving up 2 runs on 6 hits. Blaine Boyer let the bottom of the bottom fall out, giving up four runs in a third of an inning. He took his third loss on the season.
W: Saul Rivera (2-1)
L: Blaine Boyer (0-3)
S: Jon Rauch (5)

Our players need to dig deep and start winning some ball games. If I am not mistaken we’re like 4 games back as of right now. Worst of all the Phillies are playing really good baseball.
